To be a bartender you need some basic tools.
The first item is a bottle opener, also called a V-Rod or Bar-Key.
The end with the smaller opening is used to take off bottle caps. The end with the half circle tube shape it what you use to take the toppers off of liquor bottles.

A Jigger is how you measure out the shots.
The smaller side is a 1oz (single) and the larger side is 2oz (double).

The third and forth items you need come together. They are a Shaker and a Strainer.
The Shaker is the metal cup that holds the ice and liquor. The Strainer sits on top of the shaker and keeps the ice in the metal cup when you are pouring the liquor into a shot glass.

ReplyDeleteAre there any tools you like to use more than others, or have found another tool you think works better than standard ones?
ReplyDeleteI like the V-Rod/Bar-Key just because it has a shark on it. Can't to see what you can make! I love watching drink making in fact I'm subscribed to a youtuber who does this stuff.
